EnCana Sponsored Contest

Trauma Doll Naming Contest

Our new trauma doll has been named! He was christened "Near Dead Dan" by the winner of the naming contest in May of 2008. The very creative student who won was from Bonnyville Centralized High School and received a terrific safety prize from the contest sponsor, EnCana. The new trauma doll was an important acquisition for a critical part of our program and our presenters love the new name and the new trauma doll. We thank everyone who helped out with this project!

Major financial support for the new trauma doll was provided by

CIPC Workshop

Canadian Injury Prevention Curriculum

The Lakeland PARTY Program Association and AADAC hosted an injury prevention workshop January 21 and 22, 2008 at the Cold Lake AADAC Office.

Without our community sponsors, this workshop would not have been possible. Thank you:

M.A.D.D. GRAD OUTREACH

Mock Collision

In May, 2008, we assisted M.A.D.D. in delivering their mock-collision as an outreach program for grads. Our role was to solicit community donations for student participants and staff a table at the event. Ambulance, firefighting, funeral home, RCMP, AADAC, and Victim’s Services personnel along with schools, student volunteers, and others in the community rallied together to put this eye-opening demonstration together.
