Pre-P.A.R.T.Y.
The Lakeland P.A.R.T.Y. Program offers a volley of attitude and behaviour changing experiences to help prevent alcohol and risk related trauma in youth. The learning begins in schools with a surprising and enlightening myth-busting session known as the Pre-PARTY presentation.
Pre-P.A.R.T.Y.
The pre-P.A.R.T.Y. session is delivered in class by the Program Coordinator for each area. During this session, presenters gather baseline data and help students learn essential P.A.R.T.Y. skills.
- Core Principles
- Students watch videos and engage in discussions and exercises encouraging them to examine their own views, attitudes, and expectations, as well as those of their peers and community.
- This session is focused on learning the core principles advocated by SmartRisk and introducing National P.A.R.T.Y.'s principle of "Seek Help". These are the cornerstone of preventing alcohol and risk related trauma in youth:
- Buckle Up, Wear the Gear, Drive Sober, Get Trained, Look First, and Seek Help
